Actor/singer here!
I love musical theatre (but only the good stuff) and hell, just theatre in general. (Even though Shakespeare and I are on rather shaky terms at the moment.) THEATRE IS MY LIFE. Sweeney Todd is the best musical ever. I have dreams of Broadway, one day. Yes.
I identify as a brassy mezzosoprano with a fierce belt, and (given that criteria) a character actress. There's no shame in admitting I probably won't get actual work professionally until I'm in my thirties.
Composers I'm into include Stephen Sondheim, Michael John LaChiusa, William Finn, and Adam Guettel. But I try not to limit myself! (Though I'm not a big Andrew Lloyd Webber fan.)
I'm a self-loathing Jew.
I drink.

I am one funny, slightly offensive bitch.
I'm a furry, I guess. A west highland white terrier. I go by Jil, or Jew (or any variation thereof). I am not serious about it.
I enjoy other silly things like crime dramas, inane videogames, giant tacky sunglasses, gourmet ice cream, offensive jokes, every single show on Bravo, vintage fashion, indie t-shirts, boots, turning into an idiot around dogs, gettin' mah hair did, fangirling talented women, and jamming along to hip hop while driving my white person car.
I'm a graduate of Oberlin College, class of 2009, with a BA in Theatre (with an acting concentration) and a minor in East Asian Studies (with a Japan/Japanese concentration).
